FAQs

Campsite Owners FAQs
I already have a website and an on-line presence. Why do I need to be on The Camping Network?
Simply because we will get your empty pitches in front of the biggest camping community in the world. It's great you have those empty pitches visible on your site but why not get them in front of millions of campers. If we fill that empty pitch for you with the right people then that has to be good for business.
I have allocated all my marketing budget already for this year. How much does it cost?
Nothing. The Camping Network is free for campsite members. We do not charge annual fees, monthly subscription fees or a sign up fee. We work connecting your empty pitches to our huge network and we make 10% commission when and only when we make a sale. The rest is paid direct to you on arrival. This way you get 90% rather than the 0% if and when that pitch would have remained empty.
Is this on-line booking only for the bigger campsites and holiday parks? I only have a small number of pitches.
The Camping Network's aim is to fill up your empty pitches. If you have 1 glamping pitch, 300 grass pitches in a field or 500 static caravans it matters not. You set what you want to sell using our industry leading dashboard.
I have already invested a lot of money in a computer booking system for my campsite, I don't want to change it or not use it now.
You don't have to. Whatever system you currently use, whether it is very high-tech, or a paper diary at your front desk, The Camping Network will work alongside it.
How does The Camping Network work?
One account with The Camping Network means your empty costly pitches will be displayed on the largest camping network in the world. The customer pays 10% of the total cost at the time of booking as a deposit. This is retained by The Camping Network with the balance paid to the campsite when the customer arrives or before as per your terms and conditions.
What if I am fully booked for some weekends?
You have complete control over what you sell using our advanced dashboard. Simply select what you have available and on what days.
I have a different tariff structure to other campsites. For example I charge extra for things like electric hook ups, additional children, cars etc?
No problem at all. We are keen campers here at The Camping Network and know that campsites have different pricing structures. We are confident our system can cope with 98% of the UK's structures. Our team will be happy to help if you come to any difficulties.
